• Traditional division of musicology on the systematic and historical part and areas of research.
• Individual musicological sub-disciplines: theory of music, aesthetics, analysis, acoustics, auditory physiology, psychology, sociology, linguistics, economy, ethnomusicology, pedagogics etc.
• Historical development of historical musicology.
• Musicology in Slovenia.
