• the history of Australia, Antarctica and Oceania with a focus on key events from the 18th century onwards;
• physical geography of Australia, Antarctica and Oceania (geological development and geomorphological features, climatogeography, hydrogeography, pedogeography and biogeography);
• environmental problems (climate change and air pollution, water resources management, water pollution, salinization, nuclear testing, loss of plant and animal habitats, etc.);
• human geography (settlement, urbanization, the European transformation, European settlement and Native population, population growth, migration, ethnic, linguistic and religious characteristics, social aspects of human development, etc.);
• economic characteristics, globalization and development of Australia and Oceania;
• political geography of Australia, Antarctica and Oceania;
• specific examples and problems of geographical development.
