The lectures will above all focus on the discussion of the following hermeneutic concepts:
- hermeneutics as the art of interpretation,
- hermeneutics an the methodology of human and social sciences,
- hermeneutics and philosophy,
- phenomenological hermeneutics,
- the anticipation of understanding,
- the time and the historicity of the situation of understanding,
- the language as an essential presupposition of hermeneutics,
- the interpretation of texts,
- the narrative and the context of language,
the philosophical terminology,
- the existence and cognition as interpretation,
- Hermeneutics and metaphysics,
- the hermeneutic alterity as a philosophic, intercultural and humanistic question,
-the freedom and “the spirit of the times”,
- the problem of hermeneutic “ethics”,
- the hermeneutical relation of philosophy toward art and religion,
- the politics of (mis)understanding.
