In a one-semester course, students are introduced to the basic ways of describing, analyzing and interpreting literature. The course is held in the form of seminars focused on diverse interpretive methodologies and theoretical concepts. The course focuses on the reading and interpretation of selected Czech prose texts of the 20th century (both canonized and lesser known) and some important literary theoretical and literary critical works related to the literary texts in question.
