Content (Syllabus outline):
- Mastery of signing in both expressive and receptive language skills: naming, describing, presenting, speaking, discussing, reporting.
- Expanding vocabulary: transportation, animals, movement, tools, occupations, needs, wants, well-being and emotions, holidays, natural disasters, society, body and diseases, recipes, food, directions, directions for use, values, interests and skills, habits, hobbies, leisure, planning, role models, sports, competitions, successes / failures, achievements and experiences, travel.
Learning about phonological, morphological, syntactic structures: classifiers, classifier verbs, verbs of existence, spatial and body-anchored verbs, lexical and functional non-manual markers, transitive and ditransitive agreeing verbs, negation, auxiliary verbs, phase verbs, expressions of command possibility, ability and permission, time and place adverbs, comparative constructions, aspect.
