The focus of the course will be on:
- the use of different strategies in translating political and specialized texts into and from English;
- the rhetorical conventions of and cultural differences between political and specialized texts in Slovene and English;
- the difference between author-centred and reader-centred formation of texts in Slovene and English;
- the analysis of the selected political texts
- the analysis of selected specialized texts
