Mastering theoretical and practical knowledge in relation to different genre and text conventions in Slovene and English business and political texts. Looking for translation solutions in different secondary literature (dictionaries, lexicons, handbooks, parallel texts) and with appropriate institutions and experts. Forming documentation. Critically evaluating different translation solutions. The rhetorical conventions of promotional texts, company websites, job advertisements, CVs, political speeches, political letters
Analysis of these kinds of texts.
Contrastive analysis of genres.
Comparing different translation strategies.
Writing translation commentaries (seminar paper).
